Warranty
Covered long after move-in.
Every home I build is enrolled in the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty program. It’s a structural warranty backed by a third-party warranty administrator and insurer — not just my promise — which means your coverage stands on its own, independent of me or my company.
I stand behind my work personally, and I expect to be your first call. The 2-10 program is there so that you never have to rely on that alone.
How the coverage is structured
Workmanship
Coverage for defects in workmanship and materials during your first year in the home, per the warranty’s defined standards.
Distribution systems
Coverage for the home’s distribution systems — plumbing, electrical, and HVAC distribution — through the end of year two.
Structural
Six years of coverage on designated load-bearing elements of the home, administered and insured by the third-party warranty company.
How a claim works
- Call me first. Most issues get resolved fastest builder-direct, and I want to know about anything that isn’t right.
- Document the issue — photos, dates, and a short description help everyone move quickly.
- For covered structural claims, the warranty administrator handles the process per the terms in your warranty booklet.
What it isn’t
An honest word about coverage
A structural warranty is not a maintenance plan. Normal wear and tear, cosmetic items noted after your walkthrough, and routine owner maintenance items aren’t covered — that’s standard for this kind of warranty, and I’d rather you know it now than discover it later.
The warranty booklet in your closing package is the authoritative document. If anything on this page and that booklet ever disagree, the booklet wins.
My own practice on top of the program: at month eleven, I schedule a walkthrough of your home with you — before year one closes — so the small things get found and fixed while they’re still under warranty.
